Up to Date
I had good intentions of keeping my blog up to date, then I was overwhelmed by the amount of pictures from Hawaii, (we went in July for the AYSO National Games) and then we downloaded a virus on our home computer....the excuses go on. Now I have a new computer, a few days off work, so here I go...Ferrell life in a nutshell.

Honolulu in July...awesome. Soccer rules our world, but Hawaii wasn't so bad. The kids had a great time. We visited Pearl Harbor, Dole Pineapple Plantation, everyone attempted to surf, the North Shore, Mackie's Shrimp Shack (our favorite place to eat).

Reilly is playing soccer for Barcelona Soccer Club, McKenna and Hayden both played AYSO and had a great time. Hayden was a hoot. She was more interested in waving to the crowd and taking other kids out rather than kicking the ball. She had a very patient coach who had to routinely pick her up and put her in the right position. I think she spend more time on the ground than on her feet. McKenna's team struggled, but the girls still had fun.

Halloween - Reilly was Slash from Guns and Roses, McKenna was Elvis - she loves to imitate his "Thank you, thank you very much." Hayden was Snow White. We gave the kids the choice to go Trick or Treating or to go to the Dunes and they opted for the Dunes. It was a blast as always.
Thanksgiving was spent at home. Melissa had to work so it was a nice, relaxing day with just the fam.

Christmas was ditto of Thanksgiving. Nice and quiet. Roland did surprize me with a new quad. Reilly had really outgrown his and of course it made sense to buy mom a faster bike - Honda 450 and pass the Honda 400 down to Reilly. He was happy, I was stocked. It's all good.

New Years was spent in the dunes. Always a good time.
Thoughts for the new year....
*feeling blessed for the wonderful family we have.
*feeling blessed that we both still have stable jobs.
*not Obama fans, but holding out hope for the future and that maybe he can make some changes for the better in this crazy ecomomy.
My new way of keeping the kids and the dog under control!!!!

Silver Strand State Beach
We spent May 3rd & 4th at Silver Strand State Beach on Coronado. The kids had a great time and met some kids from Corona, CA camped next door. The water was still cold so I think we are just going to have to go again when it's warmer (of course the kids didn't seem to mind).

McKenna & her new friend.
Hayden preferred the sand and kite flying to the cold water.
Hayden & Bridget's mom
Grammy came and visited to catch some rays (or wind) too.
Roland enjoying some cooler temps before the AZ sun kicks in. I think he was in heaven.
I braved the water long enough to throw McKenna in.

The Midway
On May 3 & 4, we took a quick (too quick) trip to San Diego and toured the Midway Aircraft Carrier.
Hayden is always on Bridget's back.
Checking out the aircraft is Reilly's dream come true. He enjoys watching the military channel and he loves the Air Force Museum in Utah.

McKenna's teaching Hayden the in's & out's of flying aircraft!!!

I hope this is not a sign of their future.
The kids resting in the ejection seats.
Reilly hates heights and so Roland promised him a Butterfinger if he ran across a plexi-glass covering over a long drop into the ship. CONQUER those fears.
Hayden has become quite a little ham.
McKenna is always looking for a cat nap.
